Loan watch: Vieira shines in crucial Porto win

Fabio Vieira for Porto

Fabio Vieira continued his sparkling form as he put in a man of the match performance in FC Porto's crucial 2-1 victory over Boavista.

After picking up the MVP award in Porto's win over Casa Pia last month, Vieira did the same again at Estádio do Bessa, as goals from Rodrigo Mora and Ivan Marcano put the visitors 2-0 up inside 25 minutes.

Miguel Reisinho pulled one back for the hosts as both sides were shown late red cards. The win means Porto are now three points clear of Braga with one match remaining in the season, needing a point against Nacional to secure a spot in the Europa League in 2025/26.

Going into the last day of the season, Fabio has wracked up 38 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals and providing five assists.
