Mesut Ozil has been named as the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for April.
The award, powered by the football platform 90min, comes after a strong month that saw the Germany international score once and provide an assist to help Arsenal cement their place in top three in the Premier League.
Ozil played 73 minutes of the 4-1 victory over Liverpool at the start of the month and managed to get on the scoresheet as well as providing an assist. He followed this up with a solid performance in the 1-0 victory at Burnley, before an influential display in the 0-0 draw with Chelsea last weekend.
The PFA Fans’ Player of the Month awards are designed to give a strong voice to the supporters who are the lifeblood of the game. The awards are endorsed by the players and supported by the clubs.
One lucky fan voter will be chosen to present Ozil with the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award in person later this month.
