Arsene Wenger says he would be “very happy” if Joel Campbell remained an Arsenal player this summer.
The Costa Rica forward has made 10 first-team appearances for the Gunners and impressed on loan at Villarreal last season.
Campbell has been linked with a permanent move away from Arsenal but Wenger is keen to keep him at the club.
“At the moment he is here and personally I would like to keep him,” Wenger said.
“I will have to sit down with Joel because I rate him highly as a player and personally if he stays here I am very happy.”
