OFF THE POST! Lukas Podolski hits the post with a fierce shot after collecting Rosicky's ball in the area, and Gnabry's follow-up is well saved by the keeper

ARTETA CURLS ONE OVER: Oxlade-Chamberlain is tripped outside the area and the captain steps up but is off target with the resulting free kick

OVER THE BAR: It's a rare attacking forway for the hosts, and Phuong collects the ball 25 yards out but his shot flies well over the bar

UPPING THE TEMPO: It's been like a training game so far, but Rosicky and Podolski are trying to raise the tempo as we near the final 10 minutes of the first half

DANGEROUS POSITION: Vietnam have a free kick to the right of the area that Luong tries to whip in, but Sagna gets his head to it and clears confidently

BIG CHANCE: Gnabry finds Podolski with a superb ball and he beats the defender in the area, then beats another but with just the keeper to beats he tries to set up Giroud, but the ball runs loose

GOAL RULED OUT: Podolski fires in after rounding the keeper but he had been flagged for offside and the 'goal' is chalked off by the officials

PODOLSKI HEADS OVER: Superb play by Serge Gnabry, who twists and turns away from his marker and sends in an inviting cross, but Lukas Podolski heads over from eight yards

IT'S HOTTING UP: The heat in Hanoi certainly seems to be taking its toll, with the players all caked in sweat already. Arsenal not at their best yet, with a low tempo and few chances to speak of

HOME SUPPORT: The Vietnamese fans may be delighted to see Arsenal in their homeland, but they are offering full support to their national team with huge roars going up every time they get on the ball

STRONG SIDE: This starting XI is probably not a million miles away from the side that will begin the season against Aston Villa one month today. This is a good opportunity to see how they are gelling in pre-season

ARSENAL ON TOP: After Vietnam's bright start, Giroud's goal has put the tourists firmly in charge and they are knocking the ball about nicely now
