After guiding us through January unbeaten, Mikel Arteta has been nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Month award for January.
The boss steered us to three wins and two draws from our league fixtures in the month, extending our undefeated run in the competition to 13 matches as we attempt to chase down Liverpool at the top of the table.
2025 began with a 3-1 win at Brentford, followed by a 1-1 draw at Brighton & Hove Albion. We then clinched a league double over Tottenham Hotspur by winning the north London derby 2-1, and following a 2-2 draw with Aston Villa, we rounded off the month with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Wolves.
It is the third time this season that Mikel has been shortlisted for the award, which he last won in February 2024 - his seventh triumph as our manager.
This time around the boss is up against three other contenders. Pep Guardiola picked up 10 points from 12 at Manchester City to help get them back on track, while Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola makes it a hat-trick of Spanish contenders after the Cherries matched that total.
Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe completes the quartet of nominees after also winning three of his side’s four fixtures in January.
Supporters’ votes will be added to the selections of a Premier League panel to determine the victory, and you can vote for Mikel now until midday on Monday, February 3.
