Goals from Josh Murphy and Anthony Gordon saw Newcastle put an end to our Carabao Cup campaign at the semi-final stage.
After losing the first leg of the semi-finals 2-0 last month, we went on the attack at St James' Park in search of a way back into the contest.
But after Martin Odegaard had struck the post, Murphy tapped in the rebound from Alexander Isak's shot to give the Magpies a 3-0 aggregate lead.
Gordon then pounced to slot home Newcastle's second on the evening as they advanced to Wembley.
