Donate to Islington Foodbank this weekend

islington foodbank

This weekend, Arsenal fans have a special opportunity to support the Islington Foodbank as we host two matches at Emirates Stadium – one for the men's team and another for the women's team. With both games on the schedule, there will be ample chances to make a donation and help those in need.

Our community work has shown that Islington faces significant challenges, which is why we’ve partnered with Islington Foodbank to launch a matchday food collection at Emirates Stadium. This initiative will run during every weekend match until the end of the 2024/25 season.

Foodbank Collection Times for This Weekend

  • Mens: Arsenal vs Southampton: Collection opens at 12:30 PM and closes at 3 PM (kick-off)
  • Women: Arsenal vs Everton: Collection opens at 12 PM and closes at 2 PM (kick-off)

The donation point is located on the podium level, near the Tony Adams statue at the North East corner of the stadium between Gates E and F.

Why It Matters

Since 2011, the demand for food bank services has steadily increased as many families in Islington face financial hardship. In 2022, Islington Foodbank distributed 33,000kg of food to over 4,000 people, including 1,300 children.

The food bank, run entirely by volunteers, provides emergency food supplies to those in crisis, offering three days’ worth of essentials. Donations come from a variety of sources – local residents, supermarkets, and businesses – but the support of the community remains crucial in keeping their stocks replenished.
