Ahead of our fifth-round Adobe Women's FA Cup clash with London City Lionesses, Renée Slegers held her pre-match press conference.
Our head coach fielded questions on how the Championship side might set up, the varied opposition within the FA Cup and the possibility of squad rotation.
Here is everything she had to say:
on what we're expecting from London City Lionesses...
They're doing well in the Championship, together with Bristol and Birmingham. So I'm expecting them to come out [and give us a game]. I can't tell what their plan is. If they're just going to play the game and do what they always do, or if they adjust against us - we'll see what they do, but they're definitely going to give us a game.
on how Championship teams tend to set up against WSL sides...
That's what Bristol did in the first half as well. And then the second half, they adjusted. So we'll see what [London City] do. We'll have to prepare for different scenarios, but we play against all kinds of different teams in the league as well. So I think whatever they will do, we will have a solution.
on playing at Meadow Park versus Emirates Stadium...
It's so small so you feel like you're so close to each other. I think the players feel that, we feel it on the bench, and hopefully the fans do as well. I feel like they can be close to the players and really be a part of what's happening on the pitch. I think that brings extra energy - that's how I always like to look at it.
on the variety of opposition in the FA Cup...
I know, it's exciting where the game is at. And now, when we're competing in the Champions League as well, we get to play against so many different teams. I think it's a great challenge for us.
on the potential for squad rotation on Sunday...
We'll see how everyone comes out of the game, but we have a great squad, so we'll see what the game plan is for Sunday.
