Freya Godfrey has joined London City Lionesses on loan for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
The 19-year-old forward will continue her development at the Barclays Women’s Championship club.
Freya joined our youth academy at the age of 12 in 2018, working her way up through the age groups before making her first-team debut as a substitute away at Brighton & Hove Albion on 10 May 2023. In total, Freya has made three appearances for our first team, including a UEFA Women’s Champions League debut away at Valerenga on 12 December 2024.
Freya signed her first professional contract with the club in June 2023, before joining Barclays Women’s Championship side Charlton Athletic on loan for the 2023/24 season. Freya went on to make 20 appearances as Charlton finished as league runners-up, one point behind champions Crystal Palace.
