Launched in 2023, Emirates has been on a mission to bring supporters from around the world to our home: Emirates Stadium.

This initiative is all about connecting people, places and passions and we are excited to announce who our Global Gooner is for this season.

Together with Emirates, we have been on the lookout for a true Global Gooner, someone who has travelled the world using different means but has never had the opportunity to come to Emirates Stadium.

This year, we’re pleased to introduce you to Raghukul Mathur from Mumbai, India. Raghukul has lived in all corners of the globe and has followed us over land and sea - from pre-season matches in the USA to the 2019 Europa League final in Azerbaijan.

Raghukul joined us for our home fixture against Chelsea in the Premier League.

RAGHUKUL

MATHUR

For Raghukul Mathur, Arsenal is everything. As a member of the Arsenal Mumbai Supporters club, he’s part of a diehard fanbase in India’s largest city. He’s also converted his entire family into loyal Gooners.

For this year’s instalment of Global Gooners, Emirates brought Raghukul home to north London for a once-in-a-lifetime Arsenal experience. As part of the trip, he was able to meet up with his cousin Sunil, whom he credits with his love for The Arsenal.

After exploring the city together, they enjoyed a tour of Emirates Stadium before heading to welcome the players as they arrived at the ground. We also arranged for Raghukul to meet Ray Parlour as he joined us pitchside, along with the Emirates cabin crew, as the players warmed up ready to take on Chelsea.

After that, Mikel Merino’s flicked first-half winner was the icing on the cake. 1-0 to The Arsenal.

"I've been chasing this connection
my entire life."

GLOBAL GOONERS STORIES

Haruka from Japan

Haruka never misses a game, even when it means waking up at 3:30 local time. While he often watches solo, he never feels alone supporting The Arsenal. In recognition of his unwavering support, Emirates flew him out to London for his first ever visit to the UK, where he enjoyed the ultimate VIP matchday experience as we beat Chelsea 5-0 at Emirates Stadium

Adrian from Kenya

Our home may be in N5, but the Arsenal family is global. After being selected as the lucky winner of our Global Gooners competition, Adrian had an unforgettable experience as Emirates enlisted the help of Frimmy and club legend Gilberto Silva for a very special matchday.
