Sambi Lokonga was part of the Luton Town team that reached the fifth round of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday.
He played 66 minutes as the Hatters won 2-1 away to Everton to set up a fifth round tie at home to Manchester City in February.
Overseas, Kieran Tierney is through to the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey with Real Sociedad after their 2-1 win away to Celta Vigo on Tuesday, which he played 39 minutes of.
Back in the FA Cup, Nuno Tavares played 65 minutes as Nottingham Forest could only force a replay with Friday night’s 0-0 draw away to Bristol City.
It might only have been a friendly match, but Mika Biereth enjoyed a positive debut for SK Sturm Graz as he scored the opening goal of their 2-1 win away to Dnipro-1 on Thursday with a tap-in from close range.
Head coach Christian Ilzer added: “You could see straight away that he has a great understanding of the game, good movements into the box and with speed.”
In the Championship, Millwall are 17th after Saturday’s 1-1 draw at home to Preston North End, which Brooke Norton-Cuffy played 90 minutes of.
Charlie Patino was also in FA Cup action but was part of the Swansea City side that suffered a disappointing 5-0 loss away to AFC Bournemouth on Thursday.
For Derby County, Tyreece John-Jules came on in the 63rd minute of Tuesday’s 1-0 loss at Reading. The Rams are fourth in League One, three points behind leaders Portsmouth, after Saturday’s 2-1 win at home to Cheltenham Town, which Tyreece wasn’t involved in.
In the Vanarama National League, Alex Kirk played 90 minutes of Bromley’s 1-1 draw away to Aldershot Town on Tuesday as well as 90 minutes in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat away to AFC Fylde.
Kido Taylor-Hart came on in the 64th minute of the latter as Bromley remained second in the division.
One tier below, Billy Vigar came on in the 78th minute of a 2-1 defeat at home to Aveley for Eastbourne Borough, who are now 21st in the National League South.
In women’s football, Freya Godfrey came on in the 63rd minute of Charlton Athletic’s 2-1 loss at home to Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup on Wednesday. Charlton finished second in Group E, just above West Ham on goal difference.
On Sunday, Freya sadly had to go off injured just before half-time in a 1-0 win away to Crystal Palace, which saw the Addicks stay top of the FA Women’s Championship by one point.
In the same game, Araya Dennis came on in the 65th minute for the Eagles, who are fifth in the division.
She had got an assist for the opening goal in Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat away to London City Lionesses in the Conti Cup as Palace finished second in Group C, having played a game more than the two teams below, who are both two points behind.
Our trio of loanees at Watford all got minutes under their belts last week as Katie Reid and Laila Harbert both played 90 minutes of Sunday’s 2-0 win away to Durham.
Michelle Agyemang played 74 minutes having got an assist for the opening goal, scored by Carly Johns. It was a precious win for Watford, who are still bottom of the Championship but are now level on points with Lewes.
Finally, Ruby Doe came off the bench in Ipswich Town’s 2-1 defeat at home to Portsmouth after extra-time on Sunday in the quarter-finals of the FA Women’s National League Cup.
