Loan Watch: Michelle’s magnificent month continues

Michelle Agyemang scored the first equalising goal in Brighton’s 3-2 win away to Everton on Sunday; her fourth goal in four games for club and country during April.

With the winning goal netted by Nikita Parris in the 93rd minute, the Seagulls are now fifth in the Barclays Women’s Super League, acting as the ‘best of the rest’ outside of the top four.

Propping up the top four are Manchester City after Sunday’s 1-0 win away to Leicester City, which Laura Wienroither came on in the 87th minute of.

They’re now six points behind us having played one game more.

It’s all to play for at the top of the Barclays Women’s Championship with Teyah Goldie and Freya Godfrey hopeful of lifting the title and being promoted with the decider against Birmingham City on Sunday.

Teyah played 90 minutes and Freya got 45 as London City drew 1-1 at home to Durham on the weekend to remain top of the division, two points clear of second-placed Birmingham with one game to go.

Saints are eighth in the Championship, while the Blades are bottom.

Fabio Vieira played all of FC Porto’s 2-0 defeat to Estrela to go fourth in the Primeira Liga, two points behind Braga, while Marquinhos came on in the 63rd minute as Cruzeiro lost 2-1 to Palestino, going fourth in the Brazilian Serie A.
