Loan Watch: Nine Gunners in action

Nuno Monza

It was a busy week for our players out on loan, with nine Gunners getting minutes under their belts.

Starting in Serie A, Nuno Tavares enjoyed playing 64 minutes of Lazio’s emphatic 5-1 win at home to Monza on Sunday.

After a dominant display, Lazio are fourth in the league with 45 points.

There were two substitute appearances for Fabio Vieira at FC Porto, as he came on in Monday’s 2-2 draw at Rio Ave and Friday’s 1-1 draw at home to Sporting.

Back-to-back draws leave Porto third in Liga Portugal, four points behind Benfica and eight points shy of Sporting.

In La Liga, Real Valladolid remain bottom and eight points from safety following Friday’s 1-0 defeat away to Rayo Vallecano, which Karl Hein played 90 minutes of.

Marquinhos was in action for Cruzeiro, coming on at half-time in Thursday’s 1-1 draw away to America-MG.

He then played 90 minutes of Sunday’s 2-0 defeat at home to Atletico Mineiro. Nevertheless, Cruzeiro remain top of Group C of the Campeonato Mineiro with 11 points from seven games.

Turning attention to the English Football League, Maldini Kacurri made his Bromley debut with 78 minutes of football in Tuesday’s 3-3 draw away to Salford City.

After Saturday’s 1-0 win away to MK Dons, which Maldini wasn’t involved in, Bromley are 13th in League Two.

Brian Okonkwo kept a clean sheet in Hitchin Town’s 1-0 win at home to Banbury United on Saturday. Hitchin are now 20th in the Southern League Premier Division Central.

In women’s football, there was a debut for Laura Wienroither at Manchester City, as she came on in the 75th minute of Sunday’s 3-1 win at home to Leicester City in the fifth round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.

The draw for the quarter-finals takes place at 6.30pm on Tuesday

Against us, Teyah Goldie played 90 minutes for London City Lionesses in Sunday’s 2-0 defeat at Mangata Pay UK Stadium.
