Frida Maanum can’t wait to get started in north London.
Not only did she received the warmest of welcomes from the Arsenal fanbase on Tuesday, but she’s also had some promising conversations with our new head coach, Jonas Eidevall.
“I first spoke to Jonas a few months ago now,” revealed Frida, speaking to Arsenal.com. “Of course, everything in football is a process and sometimes these processes take time, but there’s been a lot of planning and preparation behind the scenes. It’s all worth it when you’re finally here.
“I think Jonas knows me really well after playing against me for a few years in the Damallsvenskan, so he has a good understanding of how I like to play and what I can do on the pitch. That gave me a lot of confidence about this move.
“Rosengard are a very good team but I was always trying my best to cause Jonas some trouble. I’m just glad we’re on the same team now.
“Seeing the way the fans welcomed me on social media… it feels amazing. It means a lot to me because the fans are extremely important for us to get to where we want to be, which is winning titles in England and Europe. To know that the fans are already right behind me is a great feeling. I can’t wait to meet them all soon!”
