Mariona and Codina chosen in Spain's Olympic squad

Spain line up for the FIFA World Cup final

Laia Codina and Mariona Caldentey are officially part of the Spanish squad heading to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Our Spanish duo have already won the FIFA World Cup in 2023 and the UEFA Nations League in 2024. This summer will mark Spain's Olympic Games debut.

Mariona, who became our first summer signing just yesterday, has 72 senior caps to her name. Codina, meanwhile, has played 12 times for her country.

Their Olympic journey begins on July 25 when Spain face Japan at Stade de la Beaujoire. Their following group games are against Nigeria (28 July) and Brazil (31 July).
