Mariona Caldentey has been ranked eighth in the world at the 2024 Ballon d’Or awards.
The Spanish midfielder joined The Arsenal this summer, fresh from winning the UEFA Women’s Champions League with Barcelona.
She has brought her brand of midfield magic to north London and already has four goals to her name in an Arsenal shirt.
In the men’s award, there was plenty of Arsenal representation in the top 30. Captain Martin Odegaard came in 19th overall followed by Bukayo Saka at 21, William Saliba at 24 and Declan Rice at 26.
