Joel Campbell was an 86th-minute substitute in Villarreal’s 3-1 win at Salzburg. Marco Djuricin gave the hosts the lead but Luciano Vietto scored either side of the break before Giovani dos Santos struck in the 79th minute to secure Villarreal’s place in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

Lukas Podolski did not feature in Inter Milan’s 1-0 win against Celtic. Fredy Guarin’s 88th-minute winner was enough to give the Italian side a 4-3 aggregate win and advance to the quarter-finals of the competition.
