Olivier Giroud wants to keep his No 12 shirt at Arsenal.
The France striker has had that number since he arrived at Emirates Stadium three years ago, but could have switched to No 9 following the departure of Lukas Podolski to Galatasaray.
"I don’t want to change the number," said Giroud, speaking at the PUMA away kit launch in Singapore.
"I’m not superstitious. I have the nine with the national team and it was available, but I don’t want to change because people have bought my shirt with the 12.
"I know the No 9 is for the attack leader but I will not be a better player if I wear a different number."
