Arsene Wenger says Chuba Akpom will learn some vital lessons while on loan at Hull City this season.
The teenage striker has made a fine start to his spell at the KC Stadium, scoring two goals in two games for the Tigers.
Wenger is pleased to see Akpom flourishing and believes he will return to the club as a much-improved player.
“I told him many times that I believe he has the quality to play for Arsenal Football Club,” the boss told Arsenal Player.
“He’s not completely ready to play [here] yet but the quality is there and the experience can strengthen your belief.
“The experience in the Championship will teach him how to fight, how not to give up, and it’s an important step between youth-team football and the Premier League.”
