Arsene Wenger says Hector Bellerin has made a vast improvement in his defensive game since coming into the first team.
The Spain Under-21 international made his debut for the club two years ago this week, in the Gunners’ League Cup victory at West Bromwich Albion.
Since then Bellerin has gone on to establish himself as one of the most exciting young players in the Premier League, and Wenger is delighted with his development.
“Hector was always very good going forward when he was a kid,” the boss told Arsenal Player.

“He was always questioned for his defensive responsibility and that’s where he has improved the most, without losing his drive going forward.
“I would say his defensive attitude and defensive reliability have vastly improved.”
