Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain played the full 90 minutes as England won 2-0 against Lithuania at Wembley Stadium. Alex started in central midfield alongside Eric Dier. Jermain Defoe opened the scoring for the Three Lions, before Jamie Vardy’s second half strike wrapped up the win for England.

Mesut Ozil made his return from injury in Germany’s 4-1 win at Azerbaijan. Mesut played the final 39 minutes after replacing Mario Gomez. Andre Schurrle scored the game’s opening goal before an unexpected equaliser courtesy of Dimitrij Nazarov. Strikes from Thomas Muller and Gomez opened up a two-goal lead, before Schurrle’s second half strike rounded off the scoring.
