Mesut Ozil’s lack of ego marks him out as one of the greatest players in the world, according to Arsene Wenger.
The Germany international has made a superb start to life at Arsenal, scoring three times and claiming five assists in 11 games.
Wenger has been delighted with his record signing’s impact and believes he could be a future Ballon d’Or winner.
“[He has brought] technical quality, vision and his absolute desire to play collectively in a very strong way,” the manager said.
“He is a player who has only one master, that is football. He does what the game demands, his ego does not stand in the way of his game, all the great players have that.”
