David Raya’s brilliant reactions at the end of our 1-1 draw at Manchester United last month have helped him win the Premier League’s Save of the Month award for March.
It is the second time this season our number one has collected the divisional prize, following on from his heroics between the posts against Aston Villa back in August.
David was in excellent form at Old Trafford to help us secure a point, and made two excellent saves in the game that were nominated for the prize.

With the hosts in front at the start of the second half, a pinpoint cross by Alejandro Garnacho landed perfectly for an undetected Noussair Mazraoui at the back post, and the full-back guided his attempt on target but Raya stuck out a leg and brilliantly managed to deflect the ball to safety.
However it was his late saves that saw him clinch the award. With the game in injury time, Rasmus Hojlund pulled the ball back for Bruno Fernandes to shoot, and David made the block before scrambling back towards his goalline to hook the spinning ball away to ensure we left the north-west with a draw.
Speaking about his magic moment, David said: "It felt great. It was late on in the game and we weren't playing well at the moment and gave them too many chances but we were there to try and stop them and we did. I made a save and managed to get up and make the second save, and it was a relief to get away from there with a point.
"The award is nice, it's my second one of the season - I don't know if it's a good one or bad save but it's good to be recognised. I'm very happy to help the team as much as possible."
It is the fourth time an Arsenal shot-stopper has won the award since its inception at the start of the 2022/23 campaign, with Aaron Ramsdale winning it twice during his time as a Gunner.
