The Three Lions took the lead in the 18th minute, Harry Kane placing the ball into the bottom left corner from close range.

But it didn’t take long for Denmark to equalise courtesy of a long-range strike from Morten Hjulmand going in off the post.

Neither side could find a winner in the second half, leaving England top of Group C with four points ahead of their game against Slovenia at 8pm BST on Tuesday.

On Thursday night, Jorginho played the first half of Italy’s 1-0 defeat to Spain before being replaced by Bryan Cristante, while David Raya was an unused substitute.
