Trossard completes 100 Arsenal appearances

Leandro Trossard celebrates scoring

After coming off the bench against Dinamo Zagreb, Leandro Trossard reached 100 Arsenal appearances - exactly two years to the day after his debut.

The Belgian winger made his Gunners bow in January 2022 against Manchester United, and has quickly reached three figures thanks to 76 Premier League games, three each in the FA Cup and League Cup, single appearances in the Europa League and the Community Shield, while last night was his 16th Champions League tie.

That makes him the fourth-fastest player in the Premier League era to achieve the feat for us, and the 11th in our history, with Pat Jenning incredibly hitting a ton after one year and 216 days:

He has made 55 starts, and has now  come off the bench 45 times, often to make a huge impact with a heap of his 23 goals so far coming as a substitute. Those strikes have come in 23 different games, and when Leo has found the net we’ve never lost.

Adding another to his tally against Dinamo last night, he has now contributed 18 assists for his teammates as his influence continues to grow following his move from Brighton & Hove Albion back in the 2022/23 campaign.

He becomes the 239th player to reach 100 appearances for the club, and only the second Belgian, following in the footsteps of former captain Thomas Vermaelen.
