Our young Gunners are looking to build on their positive momentum in 2024 as they prepare to host Reading in the U18 Premier League.
Under the guidance of Jack Wilshere, we are in stellar form, boasting six victories in their last seven outings across all competitions. In our previous game, a spirited comeback against Aston Villa resulted in a 3-2 triumph, featuring goals from Kamarni Ryan and two penalties converted by Michal Rosiak.
A closer look at Reading
While Reading finds themselves struggling in the league, having suffered four defeats in their last five games, their recent success in the FA Youth Cup is worth noting. A convincing 4-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday in the fourth round last week, with a hat-trick from Kiyan Coke-Miles-Smith, showcased their threat.
In the third round, they dominated Rotherham United with a 6-0 victory, including a hat-trick from Taylan Harris.
In our earlier encounter at the start of the season, we came away with a point in an eventful 2-2 draw. We took an early 2-0 lead with goals from Omari Benjamin and Seb Ferdinand, but Reading mounted a comeback in the second half, securing a point through two penalties converted by Harris.
