U21s preview: Enfield Town v Arsenal

arsenal u21

Our young Gunners continue their preparations for the 2024/25 season with a short trip to Enfield Town on Tuesday, July 16. Kick-off at Queen Elizabeth II Stadium is at 7:45 PM (UK).

Mehmet Ali’s young Gunners are riding high after an impressive 4-2 away win over Boreham Wood in our opening pre-season game on Saturday, featuring goals from Omar Rekik, Ethan Nwaneri, and a brace from Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand.

A look at Enfield Town

There is a feel-good factor around Enfield, as the club prepares for its inaugural season in the National League South, following their promotion with a 3-0 victory over Chatham in the Isthmian Premier Division Play-Off Final back in May.

Enfield have also kicked off their pre-season preparations, starting with a narrow 3-2 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur U21s on Saturday.

Since the club was founded in 2001, this will be the first time Enfield Town hosts an Arsenal side, marking a significant occasion for both teams.
