Vivienne Lia is the latest young Gunner to make her senior debut for The Arsenal.
Our 17-year-old academy winger featured for the last fifteen minutes of our Conti Cup quarter-final victory over London City Lionesses and shone down the left flank, showing very little sign of nerves as a debutant.
"It's unbelievable," said Vivienne, still beaming after the final whistle. "You work so hard for these moments, you dream about these moments and coming through the academy, it's every young player's dream. To do this at the club I've spent my whole life supporting, it's incredible."
Whilst she didn't know ahead of time that she'd receive the call-up, Vivienne made sure to be prepared for when the moment came.
"You always have to prepare and make sure you're ready for that chance. When they called me over, I couldn't believe it! You have to just soak it in and embrace every moment.
"All of our players have been fantastic since I've come in. They really help and embrace young players - it's genuinely a family. It's been amazing to even be with the first team from preseason, train with them and just learn so much, especially as they're my heroes as well."
This is just the beginning for the 17-year-old, who hopes that her debut will spur her on at this early stage of her career.
"It just makes you so much more hungry. If you want to get this opportunity again, you have to keep working hard and just see what the future holds."
