Frustration. That summed up Alex Iwobi’s mood after we outplayed Manchester United only to lose 3-1 on Sunday.
The Nigeria international faced the media after the game. Here’s what he said:
on the result…
I’m very frustrated. You could see the passion and the aggression we played with today but unfortunately it wasn’t to be and we just need to credit Manchester United.
on the third goal ending the game…
We were pushing to get the equaliser, had a few chances, but credit to their keeper, he made a few good saves. We didn’t take our chances and they capitalised on that and made it three, which basically killed the game.
on what he was told when he came on…
Just to be direct, go forward, create chances and to try and score a goal.
on the penalty shouts…
I couldn’t really see from where I was but we just need to keep going. It’s up to the ref, it’s not my decision.
