This summer will see the rumour mill whirl into the action as usual, but when exactly are Premier League clubs allowed to buy and sell players in the transfer windows?
On Friday, June 14, the summer transfer window opened for player trading and clubs can officially complete deals for their new recruits. That will run until deadline day on Friday, August 30 when the window shuts at 11pm BST, meaning the window will be open for the first couple of weeks of the new campaign, which starts on Friday, August 16.
From that point onwards, all clubs must wait until Wednesday, January 1, 2025 before they can buy or sell players again. The winter window will close next season on Monday, February 3, 2025.
The dates have been decided following the Premier League’s discussions with the EFL, as well as the Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga, and Ligue 1, who will all close their summer and winter windows on the same days.
