Lotte Wubben-Moy’s sensational campaign has seen her included in the PFA WSL Team of the Year for 2023/24.
In her first inclusion in the annual line-up, which is determined by peers’ votes, the defender established herself as a key part of our side, helping us to a third-place finish in the Women’s Super League as well as winning the FA Women’s League Cup against Chelsea at Molineux.
Lotte featured in 18 of the 22 WSL fixtures as we conceded just 20 goals, the third best in the division, helping us qualify for the Women's Champions League first round.
Calm in the tackle and creative on the ball, the England international made more blocks, tackles and progressive passes than in any previous campaign, and was rewarded for her form by winning our 2023/24 Player of the Season award.
Her form at club level also carried onto the international stage where Lotte netted her first England goal in a 5-1 victory over Italy in February 2024.
Elsewhere, Chelsea and Manchester City players dominated the rest of the side, taking up nine places in the starting XI.
The WSL champions have three inclusions with full-back Niamh Charles, midfielder Erin Cuthbert and forward Lauren James, who scored 13 goals in 16 games, all named.
Goalkeeper Khiara Keating, defensive duo Alex Greenwood and Laia Aleixandri, Japanese star Yui Hasegawa and forward pairing Khadija Shaw and Lauren Hemp are the City selections after they finished in second place.
Grace Clinton rounds off the line-up. The Spurs midfielder, on loan from Manchester United, scored four times in 20 appearances to end the league in sixth.
