Our under-18s kick off their first game in 2025 with a London derby as we host Queen’s Park Rangers in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup on Saturday. The match will take place at Meadow Park, with kick-off scheduled for 5pm (UK time).
In the last round of the competition, we secured a thrilling 4-3 victory over Hertford Town thanks to goals from Louie Copley, Andre Harriman-Annous, and a brace from Dan Casey.
The Opposition: QPR
QPR currently compete in the Professional U18 Development League South, one tier below the U18 Premier League in which we participate.
It has been a challenging campaign for the R’s, who sit at the bottom of the table with just two wins from 17 matches. They have suffered 12 defeats and drawn three, but their most recent outing saw them claim an impressive 1-1 draw against league leaders Bristol City, showing their resilience.
Like us, Rangers began their Youth Cup journey in the third round, where they overcame Swindon Town 3-1 at Loftus Road. Goals from Emmerson Sutton, Jake Coomes, and Ridwan Hassan secured their place in this round.
The Hoops are no strangers to causing an upset in this competition. Last season, they knocked out U18 Premier League side Wolves in a dramatic third-round tie, triumphing 9-8 on penalties.
The winners of this clash will advance to the fifth round, where they will face an away fixture against either Exeter City or Fulham.
