Vivienne Lia has joined Southampton on loan for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
Viv will continue her development at the Women’s Championship club, after signing her first professional contract with us earlier this week.
Viv, who has been with the club since the age of 14, has progressed well through the ranks of our academy set-up, winning a number of trophies at youth level and earning several first-team opportunities in recent months. Now 18, her senior debut came in our 4-0 victory over London City Lionesses in the quarter-final of the League Cup last February. In total, she has made two first-team appearances in red and white.
She was also part of the first-team squad that travelled to Australia for our exhibition match against A-League All Stars Women in May 2024, providing the assist for Alessia Russo to score the winner in Melbourne, while she also featured in both our pre-season friendlies in Washington D.C. in August.
We wish Viv the best of luck in this next stage of her development.
