U21s preview: Arsenal v Nottingham Forest

arsenal forest

Our under-21s will be looking to bounce back when we host Nottingham Forest in Premier League 2 action on Friday, January 24. The match will take place at Meadow Park, with kick-off set for 7pm (UK time).

In our last outing, we suffered a 6-3 defeat away to Fulham, so we’ll be determined to secure our first points of 2025 with a victory over Forest.

The opposition

The Reds sit just one place and one point below us in the league table, currently in 14th position with 15 points.

Like us, they’ve experienced a mixed start to the season. Forest began in impressive fashion, winning their first three matches without conceding a goal and scoring seven in the process. However, they’ve struggled for consistency since, losing five of their subsequent eight league games while managing just three wins.

In their most recent match, Forest were 2-0 up against Chelsea at half-time but fell to a second-half comeback, conceding four goals. Despite their league struggles, they’ve fared much better in the Premier League International Cup, where they sit second in Group A after winning three of their four matches.

One player to watch is attacking midfielder Jack Nadin, who has been in good form with three goals and two assists in his last four games.
