Frida Maanum and Lia Walti put their Arsenal Women allegiances aside as Norway hosted Switzerland in the UEFA Women’s Nations League on Tuesday night.

The home side emerged victorious with a 2-1 win courtesy of goals from Elisabeth Terland and Caroline Graham Hansen, and Maanum and Walti both played the full 90 minutes.

It was also a good Tuesday night for Daphne van Domselaar, who was in goal for Netherlands’ 2-1 win away to Scotland. They’re now second in League A Group 1, level on points with Germany.

Speaking of Germany, they inflicted a heavy 4-1 defeat on Austria, with Manuela Zinsberger and Laura Wienroither both in action for the latter. Austria are third in League A Group 1, just one point behind Netherlands and Germany.

Several of our Gunners went head to head on a Wednesday night at Wembley as England hosted Spain in the Nations League.

Leah Williamson captained the Lionesses with Alessia Russo leading the line, whilst Mariona Caldentey played the full 90 minutes for the reigning World Cup holders. Russo’s beautiful turn and go led to the only goal of the night, with Jess Park tapping home after Spain failed to clear the danger. Chloe Kelly also featured in the tie, making her 50th appearance for England in the 64th minute.

The 2025 SheBelieves Cup drew to a close with Japan lifting the trophy after a 2-1 win over the USA. Emily Fox featured for the full game at right-back, with Jenna Nighswonger coming off the bench for the second half.

Elsewhere in the competition, Australia lost narrowly to Colombia in California. Steph Catley and Kyra Cooney-Cross both started for the Matildas, with Caitlin Foord as a second-half substitute.

It’s been a fruitful few days for our young Lionesses as Teyah Goldie, Katie Reid and Michelle Agyemang were all involved in England under-23s’ 1-0 friendly win at home to France. Teyah played the full 90 minutes and kept a clean sheet, while Michelle and Katie both came on in the 60th minute.

As for England’s under-19s, they enjoyed a 2-0 win against USA in Spain’s Albir Garden Tournament on Sunday. Laila Harbert started the match and Vivienne Lia came off the bench.

Four of our players were involved in the SheBelieves Cup on Sunday. Emily Fox came on in the 77th minute of USA’s 2-1 win over Australia, which Caitlin Foord and Steph Catley both played 74 minutes of, while Kyra Cooney-Cross got 81 minutes.

USA are level on points with first-placed Japan, while Australia are joint bottom with Colombia on zero points.

Returning attention to the Nations League, Stina Blackstenius got 90 minutes for Sweden in their 1-1 draw away to Wales to remain top of League A Group 4 with four points.

It was a disappointing Tuesday night for Katie McCabe though, as she played all of Republic of Ireland’s 4-0 loss at Slovenia. Ireland are still second in League B Group 2 with three points from two games.
