We return to Barclays Women’s Super League action for Friday night’s trip to Everton.
It will be a 7pm kick-off at Walton Hall Park as we look to get back to winning ways.
Alongside Manchester United, we have the opportunity to close the gap on Chelsea at the top of the table this week.
SLOWLY BUT SURELY

It’s been a season of mixed fortunes for Everton, but there has been gradual improvement in results.
After going seven games without a win in the WSL, the Toffees have climbed from 12th to 8th courtesy of four wins, one draw and three defeats in the last eight matches.
Their barren spell at the start of the campaign included a goalless draw against us at Emirates Stadium, but they’ve been finding the back of the net with more regularity lately.
Last time out, goals from Maren Mjelde and Honoka Hayashi saw Everton come away from Aston Villa with a 2-0 win in early March.
WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY
Slegers: “They are a challenging team. They're one of the most unpredictable tactically. So we'll have to be prepared. It was 0-0 at home. I think we did a lot of things quite well in that game. We just didn't score.
“They've recruited new players. I think they're strong at the moment. They're strong at their home ground. So we know it's a big challenge. But obviously we also believe in what we're doing. I watched training today on the pitch and we look like ourselves again. So that's very positive.”
Sorensen: “Arsenal have some weaknesses that we are going to try to exploit. But, it will be a tough challenge. They have one of the best squads available.
“We have a belief that when we go in, we can do something. I am aware that Arsenal have a very good squad with very good players. It is a very, very good team. In terms of quality, they are one of, if not the best, teams in the league. We take confidence from some of our last performances against them.”
TEAM NEWS

There are no fresh team news concerns for us, as Renee Slegers reported that the "same players are available at the moment."
As for Everton, Brian Sorensen said in his pre-match press conference: “Clare Wheeler is back in the squad, that is good. Unfortunately, Louna Ribadeira is going to be out for a while. She has a cyst in her foot. I don’t know the timescale on it but she is not going to be available. Other than that, everyone is healthy.”
FACTS AND STATS

Everton won their first WSL meeting with us in July 2011 (3-1) but are winless in 21 league games against us since (D3 L18).
We have won eight of our last nine WSL games (L1), scoring 4+ goals in our last three; we haven’t netted four or more goals in four consecutive league games since October 2018 (7 in a row).
We have already won two WSL games in 2025 by a 4-3 scoreline (vs Man City and West Ham), but no team has ever won three top-flight matches in the same calendar year when conceding 3+ goals (Liverpool and Bristol City in 2013 – both also 2).
Only Manchester City’s Mary Fowler (8) has been directly involved in more WSL goals in 2025 than Mariona Caldentey (7 – 5 goals, 2 assists); the 28-year-old could become the first Spaniard to score in four consecutive appearances in the competition.
