Arsene Wenger says Ryo Miyaichi is making steady progress after undergoing ankle surgery last month.
The Japanese winger suffered ligament damage during an FA Cup quarter-final with his loan club Wigan Athletic, and is now back at Arsenal's training ground.
"He is back in the last three weeks for rehab," confirmed Wenger. "He is doing extremely well, his surgery went well, he is working well.
"He is focused every day, [he arrives] early, he is the first in, the last out, like many Japanese players. He is doing extremely well but he still needs some patience."
