Damian Martinez has extended his loan spell with Championship side Sheffield Wednesday until January 1, 2014.
The 21-year-old goalkeeper joined the Owls on October 15. He has been back-up to Chris Kirkland since his arrival, and a regular part of the matchday squad.
Martinez made his first-team debut for Arsenal last term, in the 6-1 Capital One Cup victory over Coventry City, and featured again for Wenger’s side in the following round against Reading.
A highly-rated stopper, Martinez has been a regular for the Gunners’ under-21s in recent times, and is an Argentina youth international.
