Mathieu Debuchy has praised Calum Chambers’ potential as the teenager prepares to fill in for him as he recovers from injury.
The 29-year-old defender suffered a sprained ankle against Manchester City and will miss the Champions League opener against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night.
Chambers has predominantly been used as a centre back at Arsenal, but made 22 appearances at right back for Southampton last season. Debuchy has been impressed with him and believes the best is yet to come.
