Benik Afobe started and scored twice in MK Dons’ 2-0 Capital One Cup third-round victory over Bradford City. The 21-year-old opened the scoring inside five minutes before doubling his tally with four minutes to go. His second was his ninth goal in 10 games on a run which also saw him score a brace against Manchester United in the previous round of the Capital One Cup.

Almeria 0-1 Atletico Madrid
Wellington played 74 minutes of Almeria’s 1-0 defeat against Atletico on Wednesday before he was replaced by Edgar Menez. Joao Miranda grabbed the only goal of the game, connecting with Koke’s cross on the hour mark.
