We played very well and we defended strongly. When we defend like that, we have many chances to win games.

They have so many top players - Silva and Aguero - so we needed to play together in defence and play on the counter-attack. I think today [we showed] a very good spirit.

Of course. When I take a penalty, I only think to score. The most important thing is to help the team.
on a hardworking display…
Yeah but if we wanted to win today, we needed to defend together and work hard, because they are a very good team. The team today was perfect and the three points were very important for us.
on taking the free-kick for the second goal quickly…
I always try to [place] free-kicks there, because they are very dangerous for the goalkeeper and the defenders. Giroud was amazing - he’s a very important striker for us.
