Aaron Ramsey says he “lived a dream” by scoring the winning goal in last season’s FA Cup final.
The Wales international capped off a memorable campaign by firing in the deciding goal against Hull City at Wembley.
He admits it was an “overwhelming” feeling, and will never forget the celebrations that followed during the victory parade.

“It was a great day, and a great moment in my career as well,” Ramsey said. “The winner was just an amazing feeling and a great way to end the season, and the year for me.
“We were in extra-time and my celebration, I didn’t really know what to do! I was just running about and it all caught up on me then so I needed a couple of seconds just to get my breath back and realise just what I’d done.
“I was always scoring the goal in the FA Cup final [in the back garden as a kid] and, I managed to live my dream. It was definitely overwhelming.
“It was amazing to see there was a quarter of a million people on the streets [for the parade the next day]. It was a beautiful day as well and just to see how many people had come out... that was quite overwhelming, to realise how much it meant to them.
“You could see everyone was in it together and they had come out to show their appreciation.”
