Theo Walcott faced the media during Arsenal’s FA Cup trophy parade on Sunday. You can read a full transcript of his interview below:
on the FA Cup…
We’ve retained the FA Cup and that’s the sign of a great team. We want more and more of this.
on the fans…
The weather is terrible but this just shows the amount of support we have across the country and the whole world. It’s amazing to see and we can’t thank them enough.
on whether Arsenal can turn this into an era of success…
It’s got to be. I have the belief in this team and the manager does as well. Each player has to trust in each other now as well. This has got to be a stepping stone now even more to challenge for the title. That’s the ultimate goal, what everyone and all the kids dream of. We need to do it for the fans because they’ve been waiting for a long time. They enjoy these moments like every player does now.
on his goal…
I’ve not really watched it. I’ve not seen it. I have recorded it at home so I’m sure me, my old man and my family will be watching it quite a lot.
