Robert Pires cannot wait to share a pitch with some of his fellow Invincibles again.
The former Gunner is set to pull on an Arsenal shirt for the first time in 10 years when he plays in a charity match against Milan Glorie on September 3 in aid of the Arsenal Foundation.
A host of legends, such as Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry and Freddie Ljungberg, have already confirmed their intention to play, and Pires is looking forward to a star-studded afternoon of football at Emirates Stadium.
"Everybody knows the Emirates is a fantastic stadium, so I’m very happy and excited to play in front of the fans"
“I’m very happy and excited to play and see my former team-mates like Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp,” he told Arsenal Player.
“We have a very good team with very good qualities, but the most important thing is the Arsenal Foundation. We will raise some money for the foundation so this is very important. It’s good to help the foundation and other kids.
“We should have a very good team. At the moment it looks like Jens Lehmann, David Seaman, Dennis Bergkamp, Freddie Ljungberg and Gilberto Silva will play.
