Gedion Zelalem has joined MLS side Sporting Kansas City on a free transfer.
Gedion joined our academy in 2013 and became the youngest Arsenal player in FA Cup history, making his debut aged 16 years and 363 days against Coventry City at Emirates Stadium in the fourth round in January 2014.
The Berlin-born midfielder's last taste of club football came in April 2017, while he was playing for Dutch side VVV Venlo on loan. The season prior to that, Gedion enjoyed a loan spell with Glasgow Rangers, winning the Championship.
Though born in Germany, Gedion represents the USA at international level.
We thank Gedion for his contribution at Arsenal and wish him every success in the future.
The deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.
