JUST OFFSIDE: Wilshere, Ramsey and Giroud combine nicely on the edge of the area, but the latter is flagged offside at the last moment

SOUTHAMPTON CHANGE: Lallana is replaced by Osvaldo

SAVED: Good counter from Saints as Rodriguez sets up Lallana but his shot is straight at Szczesny

BOOKING: Wanyama is booked for taking down Cazorla

HALF A CHANCE: Cazorla whips in a cross from the left but Giroud and Koscielny get in each other's way and the ball drifts past them

GOOD SAVE: Szczesny makes a good save as Rodriguez takes the ball on the edge of the area and hits a volley that the Pole pushes away

UNLUCKY: Lovely play from Giroud to release Ozil in the box... but the German is flagged offside. Close

RESPONSE: It's been a good response from Southampton, who are pressurising Arsenal and trying to find a way back

OFF THE POST: So close! Jack Wilshere flicks the ball over Boruc but it hits the post and bounces back to the Saints keeper. Brilliant stuff

TOUGH TACKLES: It's been a well-contested game so far, with the challenges flying in - although with no hint of malice

GIROUD HOBBLING: The French striker is hobbling slightly after a challenge near the halfway line, but he looks like he'll run it off

FREE KICK SAINTS: But it comes to nothing though, as Arsenal defend it well and clear it from danger. Saints have started brightly though
