WHAT HAPPENED
Our under-18s had a day to forget in the Premier League south on Saturday as they were beaten 5-0 by Brighton at London Colney.
Ken Gillard named a strong side with Kido Taylor-Hart in fine form after assisting on his first start for the under-21s on Tuesday night - but the Seagulls took charge of the game early on and we failed to recover.
We got off to the worst possible start when Levi Laing inadvertently cleared the ball into his own net, before Cameron Peupion doubled Brighton’s advantage from the penalty spot.
Todd Miller then went on to make it three on the stroke of half-time, catching us out on the break to fire into the top right corner via the woodwork.
Following the restart, Andrew Moran finished coolly inside the area after latching onto a cutback, before Peupion rounded off the scoring with an injury-time strike on the counter.
