Arsenal Under-18s were pegged back after a good first half
to eventually draw 3-3 with Southampton on Saturday.
Summer acquisition Gilles Sunu made his long-awaited return from
injury, and Mark Randall featured in an Arsenal shirt for the first
time since mid-September.
The youngsters had gone ahead as early as the fourth minute
through Jay Emmanuel-Thomas. The versatile 16-year-old has been in
good form this season, scoring twice before the weekend's game,
and he added a further goal 10 minutes before the interval.
The ever-impressive Jack Wilshere scored the second goal of the
game midway through the opening period but the Saints regrouped and
scored twice in the second half to record an impressive draw.
Next up for Steve Bould's team is a home fixture against
Crystal Palace.
