Bukayo Saka’s thumping goal to open the scoring against Everton on Wednesday night brought up another milestone in the youngster’s career.
It was his 50th goal involvement (goal or assist) in the Premier League, becoming the 19th player in our history to the landmark.
Aged 21 years and 177 days, he also became the sixth youngest player in the history of the competition to bring up the half-century, and the youngest since Cesc Fabregas achieved it in April 2008.
Saka later assisted Gabriel Martinelli for our second goal, taking him to 51 overall – 27 goals and 24 assists – from just 122 appearances.
He is now on 10 goals for the season in the Premier League, and remarkably all of them have either been equalisers or goals to give us the lead in games.
With Martinelli on 11 for the campaign, we are the only club in the Premier League with two goalscorers in double figures.
Saka still has a fair way to reach the top of our goal involvement list though. Thierry Henry leads the way with 249 combined goals and assists, he’s one of seven players who reached a century for the club.
