Arsenal Ladies continued their march up the Premier League table with a 4-1 win at Bristol Academy.
Gemma Davison scored twice while Kim Little and Katie Chapman were also on target as the champions made it four wins out of four in the League this season.
It wasn't plain sailing for Tony Gervaise's team though. Bristol, struggling at the bottom end of the table, restricted Arsenal to a 2-1 lead at the interval. Davison had fired the visitors ahead but Sharla Passariello pulled the hosts level before Little restored Arsenal's advantage with a left-footed curler into the top corner.
The champions stepped up a gear in the second half and Chapman gave them some breathing space when she headed home Davison's cross at the back post. Davison then added her second late on to leave Arsenal three points off the top with games in hand on most of their rivals.
